[Industry News] North American PCB companies’ overall shipments fell by 22.5% in November

IPC recently announced the November 2023 findings of its North American Printed Circuit Board Statistics Project. Judging from the value of orders booked in the past three months compared with the sales of the companies in the survey sample during the same period, current demand is lower than supply.

 

Total North American PCB shipments fell 22.5% in November 2023 compared to the same month last year. Shipments in November fell 16.3% compared with the previous month. PCB bookings fell 9.2% in November compared with the same month last year. Bookings in November fell 9% compared to the previous month.

Shawn Du Bravac, IPC chief economist, said PCB shipments this month were about 5% lower than our expectations. Year-to-date trends fell to their lowest point of the year. Weak order trends in November suggest the year may end on a lackluster note. (Source: IPC)
